Why Even Though The Government Knows About The Decrease In Natural Rescourses They Continue To Bulid Houses?
Well, across from a metro park/beach in my city, they are building a gas station and am i the only one who seems to think thats wrong? I mean the oil could leak into the swamp right next to it at any given moment and completly ruin it. Not only that but how come you pass by a nice BIG chunk of trees, and land and all you see is bulldozers and a sign introducing the next apartment complex? Then everyone sits back and complains on why we don’t have alot of wildlife. These foreign workers are being paid cheap so it costs less to actually build something such as a next apartment complex. Noone actually buys these places. Everywhere you turn here in michigan they are building, and pretty soon all these fat dumb building coordinators are going to use up all the golf courses and land they can get their greasy, selfish hands on and they will have to start knocking down everything in their path. Why does the government allow this? Give me your opinions and try to best answer my questions
Thanks

It all comes down to greed, as you pointed out. A farmer is getting too old to continue to farm and none of his kids wants to farm. A land developer offers him enough money to retire to Florida, so he decides it’s time to cash in on all the hard work he’s done all his life. The developer sells the land at a profit to home builders, commercial real estate developers, etc. Strip malls and clusterf**ks appear where farmland and woodlands once were. The roads become more crowded, the schools take in more students than they can handle, the taxes go up and everyone complains.
Vote FOR the greenspace preservation issues when they appear on your ballot. Work with farmland preservation organizations to raise money to buy and preserve working farms so we don’t lose their beauty and productivity. You have to start building support for these issues BEFORE the developers buy the land. Once they’re in, it’s too late.

Well Professor, with an increasing populous, more housing is necessary. No one builds a building to have it sit unoccupied. More people, more cars; more cars more gas; more gas, more gas stations. That’s why they are building that gas station across from the metro park/beach in your city. You are the only one that seems to think that is wrong because of your misconceptions. Oil can’t leak into the swamp you speak of. Gas stations don’t store bulk oil. There are codes and regulations in place to assure the gas they do store doesn’t leak. “Greasy, selfish hands”, “knocking down everything in their path”? Give me a break. Level your house and plant a tree. Don’t regulate me from building a house for my family. I’ll follow the local codes. You asked for an opinion to best answer your questions.
Why don’t YOU get over yourself, Professor?

Thank You for your insight. When do you plan to tear down the place where you live and plant trees. People need housing. People need goods and services. These people, goods and services need to be somewhere. We are not a nomadic society that moves from place to place we need permanent structures. If you want trees I am sure there is a nice State Park close by.
